Vassa
(VAH-sah)

Race: Human
Role: Criminal Operator, Power Broker

Vassa is the kind of man who makes you feel like you walked into his trap the moment you sit down across from him — and the worst part is, he’s usually right. Heavy set with long dark red curly hair and a small soul patch beard, he is not an imposing figure in the physical sense. He doesn’t need to be. He has Krallok and Drogan for that. What Vassa brings to every table is something considerably more dangerous: the absolute, unshakeable conviction that he is the smartest person in the room, combined with enough experience to have been right about that more often than not.

He is not a man who does anything for one reason when he can do it for three. Every favor is a future debt. Every piece of information shared is a hook set for later. Every meeting is a performance, carefully staged to put the other party at a disadvantage before a single word has been exchanged. He enjoys the game — genuinely, visibly — and he makes no particular effort to hide it. The smirk is always there. The hands folded comfortably across his chest. The tone of a man who already knows how this ends.

He despises certain things with a passion that goes beyond professional disagreement — non-humans, the devout, and anyone who represents a power he doesn’t control. When something genuinely rattles him, he leans harder into cruelty. That is when he is most dangerous and most revealing.

He is not a man without a code. He simply has his own, and it serves him rather than anyone else.

Interesting Facts:

  • His two bodyguards, Krallok and Drogan, are as different from each other physically as two humans can possibly be. Together they represent the two things Vassa relies on most: overwhelming force and immovable presence. He has never needed to explain which is which.
  • When Taybrin walks into a room, Vassa’s carefully maintained composure develops visible cracks. Their connection is not something either of them discusses in polite company.
